NHTSA's summary
Complaint Consistent popping sound from rear of vehicle. AND Rear subframe manufactured on or after December 2025. Cause Under determination. Remedy Verify the noise is emanating from the rear subframe mounts and matches the sound file attached. The dealer may choose to use NVH to verify which mount. Replace all rear subframe mounts according to WIS and the attached procedures with Loctite. NOTE: Depending on stock availability of the mounts, the vehicle may be released until such time the mounts are available. It is not recommended to order the entire subframe assembly. If the sound matches the attached file and the subframe mount is manufactured prior to December 2025, open a TIPS case to the Body/Chassis Entertainment team.
