# Service bulletin TSB 26\-2185

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

- Type: Service bulletin
- NHTSA id: 11032693
- Published by NHTSA: 2026\-05\-14
- Manufacturer's number: TSB 26\-2185
- Manufacturer's date: 2026\-05\-07
- NHTSA component: ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; UNKNOWN OR OTHER
- Manufacturer's system: key fob

## NHTSA's summary

This bulletin supersedes 25\-2621. Reason for update: add 2026 model year vehicles and Transit, update the causal part number \(15604\), update the Service Procedure, update the service labor operations for 2023 F\-Super Duty, and add service labor operations for Transit. Some vehicles listed in the Model statement above may exhibit a no crank/no start condition where the customer cannot start their vehicle. The vehicle may also exhibit a "No Key Detected" message displayed on the instrument panel cluster \(IPC\), and no key fob works in the back up slot. The remote keyless entry \(RKE\) functionality will work to lock/unlock the vehicle.

## Other bulletins for the same vehicles and component

- [SSM 55241](/bulletins/11038446.md), 2026-10-13, Service bulletin: ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; UNKNOWN OR OTHER. Some 2025\-2027 Aviator vehicles may exhibit a "Door Fault Service Required", "Transmission Not In Park" and/or "Hill Start Assist Not Available" message in the instrument panel cluster \(IPC\) with diagnostic trouble code \(DTC\) B1262:92 stored in multiple door latch control modules \(DCME, DCMF, DCMG, and/or DCMH\). DTC U0504 may also be stored in the gearshift module \(GSM\). This may be due to the software in the door latch control modules. To correct this condition, download and run the following applications using the latest software level of the Ford Diagnosis and Repair System \(FDRS\) scan tool.\<br /\> "DCME \- Door Control Module E \(DCME\) Software Update"\<br /\> "DCMF \- Door Control Module F \(DCMF\) Software Update"\<br /\> "DCMG \- Door Control Module G \(DCMG\) Software Update"\<br /\> "DCMH \- Door Control Module H \(DCMH\) Software Update"\<br /\> For claiming use causal part 54219A65 and labor operation MT54219SSM up to 0.5 hours.

Some 2021\-2024 Bronco vehicles may exhibit an illuminated red brake warning indicator with diagnostic trouble code \(DTC\) C0049:01 stored in the anti\-lock brake system \(ABS\) module. This may be due to pin fitment at the brake fluid level sensor connector. To resolve this concern, replace the brake fluid reservoir and replace the brake fluid level sensor electrical connector C1052 with service pigtail wiring kit 3U2Z\-14S411\-BXAB. For claiming, use causal part 2L210 and labor operations 2140A and 2219D45WR.
- [SSM 55239](/bulletins/11038444.md), 2026-10-13, Service bulletin: UNKNOWN OR OTHER; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; SERVICE BRAKES. Some 2023\-2026 F\-Super Duty vehicles equipped with a trailer brake control module and built on or before 08\-May\-2026 may exhibit a "Trailer Disconnected" message after cycling the ignition off and back on with a trailer connected. This may be due to the presence of an integrated battery charger on a trailer equipped with electric over hydraulic brakes. If trailer functionality is restored after unplugging and plugging the trailer connector back in while the ignition is on, this condition can be corrected by downloading and performing the "Trailer Brake Configuration" application using the latest software version of the Ford Diagnosis and Repair System \(FDRS\) scan tool. For claiming, use causal part 19H332 and labor operations 12651D and 12651D4. Issue: Some of the vehicles listed in the Model statement above may exhibit all of the following conditions: • Poor shift quality • Illuminated powertrain malfunction \(wrench\) indicator with DTCs P2704 and P0771 stored in the PCM / TCM . This may be due to a calibration in the TCM and/or wear between the input shaft and the E clutch hub causing theinput shaft O\-rings to become damaged resulting in an open E clutch circuit. Action: For vehicles that meet all of the criteria in the Issue and Model statements, follow the Service Procedure toreprogram the PCM / TCM and/or replace the E clutch hub and input shaft O\-rings
