## NHTSA's summary

Mercedes\-Benz AG, the manufacturer of Mercedes\-Benz vehicles, has determined that on certain subject vehicles, the control unit software for the trunk lid control does not correspond to the current series status. The new software update stabilizes the automatic trunk lid opening height when automatically opened. MBUSA will conduct an OTA service campaign. Remote software updates are automatically downloaded and installed in the customer’s vehicle free of charge and do not require a dealer visit. Mercedes\-Benz is continuously updating the operating system of its vehicles for a better customer experience.
