# Over\-the\-air update PCM\-26.10.0 Ranger

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

## Other bulletins for the same vehicles and component

- [SSM 55044](/bulletins/11035232.md), 2026-07-27, Service bulletin: POWER TRAIN; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Some 2025\-2026 Bronco/Ranger vehicles may exhibit an illuminated powertrain malfunction \(wrench\) indicator with diagnostic trouble codes \(DTC\) P2122, P2123, P2127, P2128, and/or P2138 stored in the powertrain control module \(PCM\). The vehicle may or may not exhibit a perceived lack of power intermittently. This may be due to an issue with the following connectors associated with the accelerator pedal position \(APP\) sensor circuits: \-C115B \-C175B \-C2040 Replacement of the accelerator pedal may not resolve this concern. Perform a wiggle test of the connectors while the engine is at normal operating temperature. Perform a visual inspection of the connectors as well as a terminal fit test using the appropriately sized flex probe. Repair as necessary. Refer to Wiring Diagram Cell 005. If no concerns are found, refer to Workshop Manual \(WSM\), Section 310\-02 for normal diagnostics.
- [TSB 26\-2301](/bulletins/11034223.md), 2026-07-01, Service bulletin: POWER TRAIN; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Some of the vehicles listed in the Model statement above may require the replacement of the ambient air temperature sensor for various concerns. DTCs P0071, P0072, and/or P0073 may be present in the powertrain control module \(PCM\).
- [SSM 54902](/bulletins/11033775.md), 2026-06-09, Service bulletin: POWER TRAIN. For 20202026 vehicles equipped with the 10R60 transmission, a new Transmission Clutch Circuit Leak Test has been introduced in the Ford Diagnosis and Repair System \(FDRS\). This test utilizes the pressure and vacuum transducer \(PVT\) when available. Workshop Manual \(WSM\) updates related to this diagnostic procedure are planned for release in Q4 2026. The new test improves the accuracy of detecting leaks within transmission fluid circuits and replaces the previous air check method. The previous air check procedure has been shown to produce a high rate of false positives, which may lead to unnecessary repairs when no actual leak is present. Accordingly, the air check procedure is not to be used for diagnosing internal transmission hydraulic leaks or as justification for transmission replacement.
- [26B08](/bulletins/11033578.md), 2026-06-05, Other: POWER TRAIN. Certain 2025 Bronco/Ranger and 2025\-2026 Explorer/Aviator 4\-wheel drive vehicles equipped with a 10R60 transmission. Transmission Replacement
- [26B04](/bulletins/11033576.md), 2026-06-05, Other: POWER TRAIN. Certain 2025 Model Year Bronco and Ranger Vehicles All Wheel Drive Module Replacement
- [PCM \-26.20.0 Ranger](/bulletins/11031914.md), 2026-05-01, Over\-the\-air update: POWER TRAIN. Quality improvements include: \-Powertrain Control Module calibration update to address a potential false warning light
- [26P04](/bulletins/11031786.md), 2026-04-30, Other: POWER TRAIN. Recommended Repair Prior to Sale Customer Satisfaction Program 26P04 Certain 2025 Model Year Bronco and Ranger Vehicles with 2.7L Engine Setting Diagnostic Trouble Code \(DTC\) P04DB Powertrain Control Module Software Update
- [ECG2\-25.2.8.5 Ranger](/bulletins/11030368.md), 2026-03-31, Over\-the\-air update: POWER TRAIN; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. "26C10 Recall remedy \-Addresses instances where the trailer lights and trailer brakes may not function"
- [SSM 54593](/bulletins/11029082.md), 2026-02-27, Service bulletin: ENGINE; POWER TRAIN; FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM. Some 2024\-2025 F\-150, Expedition/Navigator, Escape/Corsair, Bronco, Explorer, Mustang, Maverick vehicles equipped with a 1.5/2.0/2.3/3.5L EcoBoost engine and built on 01\-Oct\-2024 and through 31\-May\-2025 may exhibit an extended crank condition, strong fuel smell in the engine oil, high engine oil level and/or may have various drivability diagnostic trouble codes \(DTCs\) stored in the powertrain control module \(PCM\) with an illuminated malfunction indicator lamp \(MIL\). This may be due to an internal fuel leak of the high\-pressure fuel pump causing fuel to enter the crankcase and reduce fuel pressure in the direct injection fuel rail. Diagnose this condition using Pinpoint Test HP located in Workshop Manual \(WSM\), Section 303\-04. If no DTCs are stored in the PCM, proceed from Step HP1 to Step HP5 and continue testing. Repair as necessary outside of this article. For claiming, if high\-pressure fuel pump replacement is required, use causal part number 9D376 and labor operation code 9543A. If the root cause is identified as anything other than the fuel injection pump, claim the repair outside of this article.
- [SSM 54592](/bulletins/11029081.md), 2026-02-27, Service bulletin: POWER TRAIN. For 20172026 vehicles equipped with a 10R transmission, a revision to the Road Testing Vehicle procedure has been made in the WSM, located in Section 307\-01 \> Diagnosis and Testing. This updated procedure improves the diagnosis of customer reported transmission concerns and aids in locating the proper root cause. During diagnosis and testing, details regarding whether the condition is more prevalent when the vehicle is hot or cold, throttle percentage at the time of occurrence, vehicle speed, the specific shift involved, and whether the issue occurs during transmission engagements \(N\>R, N\>D, R\>D, or D\>R\) should be noted. Engineering requests including these detailed operating conditions that will significantly assist with root cause analysis. Diagnosis, testing, and repair should use established labor times outside this article.
