Service bulletin SSM 54740
A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

NHTSA's summary
Some 2025-2026 Expedition/Navigator vehicles equipped with power folding mirrors may not have the ability to deactivate the auto-fold mirror operation from the menu located in the instrument panel cluster (IPC) message center. This may be due to the software in the driver door module (DDM) and passenger door module (PDM). Power folding mirror operation from the physical buttons are not affected by this condition. Inform customers that engineering is currently working on a solution for this condition that is expected in Q4 2026. Replacement or reprogramming of the accessory protocol interface module (APIM), DDM, or PDM will not resolve this condition. Monitor Professional Technician System (PTS) for additional information and schedule service appointments for customers once the repair becomes available.

| SSM 54910 | 2026-06-15. Service bulletin. Some 2025-2026 Expedition/Navigator vehicles equipped with one-touch up/down front windows may exhibit a condition where a front window does not respond to one-touch controls, does not open all the way and/or bounces back when using the one-touch close function. Advise the customers that driver door module (DDM) and passenger door module (PDM) software updates are currently being delivered to vehicles over-the-air (OTA), which are expected to resolve these symptoms. It is important to advise the customer to select the automatic updates option in the settings menu to enable automatic updates and/or approve prompts to download or install updates if automatic updates are purposely disabled. Monitor Professional Technician System (PTS) for additional information. |
| SSM 54826 | 2026-05-19. Service bulletin. Some 2025-2026 Expedition/Navigator vehicles equipped with one-touch up/down front windows may exhibit a condition where a front window does not respond to one-touch controls, does not open all the way and/or bounces back when using the one-touch close function. Inform customers that engineering is aware of this condition and is investigating a service solution which is expected to be available by the end of Q2 2026. Replacement or reprogramming of the DDM and/or PDM and/or any other components is unlikely to resolve this condition. One-touch open and close function may be restored by resetting the anti-pinch feature described in the Digital Owner's Manual > Windows > Window Bounce-Back > Overriding Window Bounce-Back. The symptom may return after a successful reset of the anti-pinch feature. Show the customer where they can find this reset procedure in the Digital Owners Manual (Windows > Window Bounce-Back > Overriding Window Bounce-Back) so that they can have the option to perform the reset procedure on their own should the symptom return while waiting for the service solution to become available. |
