SERVICE BULLETIN M1716: 2026 TRIKE ESSENTIAL TOOLS LIST. PURPOSE: Initial Release. This bulletin informs dealers of new essential tools necessary to perform all procedures on 2026 and later Trike models. New tools will be delivered in the 1st quarter of 2026. In an effort to keep essential tool costs low, Harley-Davidson actively tries to re-use existing tools that should already be in dealer inventory from past models. HD-49303 is an active tool that dealers should have for use on 2009-2025 trike models. 2026 and later Trikes use HD-49303 in conjunction with a new tool HD-53462. Check your essential tools inventory and order HD-49303 if it is missing. See Figure 1.
