## NHTSA's summary

Altec Industries, Inc. has received notification from Daimler Truck North America LLC \(DTNA\) that the tie rod on the front axle may not have been installed properly, which can result in tie rod separation without warning and a loss of steering control, increasing the risk of a crash in certain 2024 \- 2026 Freightliner Custom Chassis that are equipped with Altec equipment.
