# Service bulletin SSM 54547

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

- Type: Service bulletin

## NHTSA's summary

Some 2023\-2024 Bronco Sport vehicles equipped with a 1.5L engine may exhibit an illuminated powertrain malfunction \(wrench\) indicator with diagnostic trouble code \(DTC\) P130D stored in the PCM. Engineering is aware of this condition and is currently working on a solution that is expected in late Q2 of 2026. If a vehicle comes in for this condition, submit a Global Concern Report \(GCR\) and monitor Professional Technician System \(PTS\) for additional information and schedule service appointments for customers once the repair becomes available.

## Other bulletins for the same vehicles and component

- [SSM 55221](/bulletins/11038438.md), 2026-10-12, Service bulletin: UNKNOWN OR OTHER; POWER TRAIN; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. For 20222026 vehicles equipped with a 8F35 transmission, a revision to the Road Testing Vehicle procedure has been made in the WSM, Section 307\-01 \> Diagnosis and Testing. This updated procedure improves the diagnosis of customer reported transmission concerns and aids in locating the proper root cause. During diagnosis and testing, details regarding whether the condition is more prevalent when the vehicle is hot or cold, throttle percentage at the time of occurrence, vehicle speed, the specific shift involved, and whether the issue occurs during transmission engagements \(N\>R, N\>D, R\>D, and/or D\>R\) should be noted in the warranty claim. Engineering requests including these detailed operating conditions that will significantly assist with root cause analysis. Diagnosis, testing, and repair should use established labor times outside this article.
- [TSB 26\-2414](/bulletins/11037311.md), 2026-09-14, Service bulletin: POWER TRAIN; UNKNOWN OR OTHER; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. This article supersedes 26\-2058 Reason for update: update the TSB title and TSB issue to include new DTCs Some of the vehicles listed in the Model statement above may exhibit all of the following conditions: \* Intermittent or permanent no reverse \(R\) engagement \* Illuminated MIL with DTC P0767 or P0765:7E stored in the powertrain control module \(PCM\) In addition to the required conditions, the vehicle may also exhibit a harsh reverse engagement, P0766, P0765:7F, P0736 and/or P2703 stored in the PCM. This may be due to an internal mechanical concern with the selectable one\-way clutch \(SOWC\).
- [SSM 55149](/bulletins/11037295.md), 2026-09-12, Service bulletin: UNKNOWN OR OTHER; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Some 2021\-2024 Bronco Sport vehicles equipped with a 1.5L may exhibit a lack of air conditioning \(A/C\) cooling while at a stop and idling in ambient temperatures of 100°F \(38°C\) or higher. In addition, there are no diagnostic trouble codes \(DTC\) present related to A/C system functionality, refrigerant charge levels are to specification and system is free of refrigerant leaks and/or A/C compressor related concerns. Customers may also report that A/C system cooling will be restored once the vehicle starts moving or placed in park/neutral.\<br /\>\<br /\> This condition does not affect vehicle durability and no additional diagnosis or service is required for this condition at this time. Inform customers that they can continue to drive the vehicle and engineering is currently working on a solution for this condition that is expected in Q4 2026. Replacement or reprogramming of any components will not resolve this condition. Monitor Professional Technician System \(PTS\) for additional information and schedule service appointments for customers once the repair becomes available.\<br /\>\<br /\> If the vehicle exhibit

- [TSB 26\-2328](/bulletins/11035099.md), 2026-07-20, Service bulletin: POWER TRAIN; UNKNOWN OR OTHER. This bulletin supersedes 26\-2194. Reason for update: update the Parts list to correct a part description " Loctite 638", update the claim quantity for the drain/fill plug, update the claim quantity of the wheel hub bolts \(Corsair\) and limited the parts list for Edge/Nautilus to only the rear drive unit fluid. Some of the vehicles listed in the Model statement above may exhibit all of the following conditions: Shudder chatter condition, most noticeable at low speeds turning No relevant diagnostic trouble codes \(DTCs\) present This may be due to internal rear drive unit \(RDU\) fluid contamination.
- [SSM 54939](/bulletins/11034017.md), 2026-06-22, Service bulletin: POWER TRAIN. Some 2020\-2026 Corsair/Escape, 2021\-2026 Bronco Sport, and 2022\-2026 Maverick vehicles equipped with an 8F35 transmission may exhibit a shudder condition, most noticeable at speeds below 60 mph \(100 km/h\), with no relevant diagnostic trouble codes \(DTC\) stored in the powertrain control module \(PCM\). Sometimes, this may be perceived/felt as an engine misfire. This may be due to the torque converter. If Pinpoint Test K: Torque Converter Clutch Operation in Workshop Manual \(WSM\), Section 307\-01 \> Diagnosis and Testing \> Diagnosis by Symptom directs to replace the torque converter, remove and replace the torque converter and torque converter seal. Refer to WSM, Section 307\-01 \> Removal and Installation \> Torque Converter Seal. Remove the main control valve body. Refer to WSM, Section 307\-01 \> Removal and Installation \> Main Control Valve Body. Overhaul and thoroughly clean the main control valve body. Refer to WSM, Section 307\-01 \> Overhaul \> Main Control Valve Body. Reverse the removal procedure to reassemble the transmission. Install the transmission. Refer to WSM, Section 307\-01 \> Installation. For claim

- [TSB 26\-2194](/bulletins/11031619.md), 2026-04-28, Service bulletin: POWER TRAIN. This bulletin supersedes 25\-2627. Reason for update: To add a Step to reprogram the all\-wheel drive \(AWD\) module for Bronco Sport vehicles.
- [SSM 54720](/bulletins/11031263.md), 2026-04-10, Service bulletin: ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; LANE DEPARTURE: BLIND SPOT DETECTION. Various 2020\-2026 Ford and Lincoln vehicles equipped with blind spot information system \(BLIS\) may experience an inoperative blind spot monitoring with a "Blind Spot System Fault" message displayed in the instrument panel cluster \(IPC\). This may also be accompanied by diagnostic trouble codes \(DTCs\) B118C:11 and/or B118C:15 stored in the driver door module \(DDM\), and/or B118D:11 and/or B118D:15 stored in the passenger door module \(PDM\). This may be due to the wiring connector from the mirror to the BLIS module. If diagnostics lead to an internal mirror wiring harness fault, a new lower level BLIS light pigtail is now released for service. It is not necessary to replace the exterior mirror assembly. Use part number SC3Z\-14A411\-B to resolve the concern.
