# Service campaign 26\-01\-001H DCS

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

## NHTSA's summary

Certain IONIQ 9 \(ME1A EV\) vehicles may exhibit adhesive residue on the high mounted stop lamp. This can occur when the clear protective film has had prolonged exposure to sun and heat, causing some of the adhesive to remain on the black plastic housing after removal. Technical Service Bulletin \(TSB\) 26\-01\-001H provides instructions to inspect and, if necessary, replace the high mounted stop lamp on affected vehicles.

This TSB illustrates the various causes of condensation inside the lamp assembly. Lamp assembly replacement is NOT necessary in most cases. This condition can be eliminated by turning on the lamps with the engine running for several minutes or during normal driving operation.
