LI33.20-P-0784062026-07-14. Service bulletin. Complaint Creaking noise, in irregular sequence when driving slowly in combination with slight steering movements and/or Creaking/crackling noises from the area of the wheel bearing on the front axle when cornering/ maneuvering. Sound file attached for comparison. MUST match noise for proper diagnosis. NOTE: Steering functionality is not affected. Cause Contact area between wheel bearing and steering knuckle. See also: LI35.30-P-058566 (Throttle Lift-Off Noise - Rear) LI33.30-P-056665 (Throttle Lift-Off Noise - Front) LI40.10-P-059248 (Wheel cracking noise when cornering) Remedy 1. Perform Operation A and evaluate by testing vehicle. 2. If noise is still present after re-testing: • If 192/232 chassis, verify FIN is in the listed range below in "Operation B" and perform. • If not 192/232 chassis or vehicle is a 192/232 not in the listed FIN range, additional verifications of where the noise is coming from are needed. Use multiple channel NVH method to narrow down location. Verify the LI's listed above were completed or if there are other similar noises associated with the chassis (Example: 192/232 also has under panel noises and an associated LI). Operation A: 1. Clean contact surfaces of wheel bearing and steering knuckle with brake cleaner as seen in the attached pictures. NOTE: The front area of the wheel bearing and the seals must not come into contact with the cleaner, otherwise, the sealing rings will be damaged. 2. Clean threads of wheel bearing mounting. 3. Thinly coat contact surfaces of wheel bearing, steering knuckle, and axle mating face with Molykote (annular joint grease). See the attached steering knuckle and wheel hub pictures for reference. NOTE: Axle mating face greasing is also covered in LI35.30-P-058566 and LI33.30-P-056665. Operation B (Only applies to 192 and 232 in listed FIN range): Only affects vehicles up to FIN end number: • Model series 192: xxx xxx xx 002 876 • Model series 232: xxx xxx xx 022 312 1. Replace steering knuckle. 2. Wheel bearings do not need to be replaced.

Complaint Customer concern for ESP/Brake or Steering yellow instrument cluster message AND C220564 in the N80 Steering Column Control Module (Valeo Parts only). To check which supplier steering column module is present in the vehicle, see attachment "Supplier Identification". Cause Triggered due to communication related software timing. Remedy New software A2239026336. Update N80 (Steering Column Module) to target software A2239026336 and perform ignition cycle. LI46.35-P-0765662025-03-14. Service bulletin. Complaint A squeaking noise comes from the electric power steering; see video with example. Cause Toothed rack in the area of the screw drive of the electric power steering needs additional grease. Remedy 1. Lift the vehicle and remove the center engine compartment lining; for basic data, see WIS AR61.20-P-1105S 2. Loosen the bellows of the electric power steering on the right of the steering gear and slide outward on the tie rod – the tie rods do not need to be removed! For basic data, see WIS AR46.40-P-9998S 3. Turn the wheels fully to the right. The screw drive of the rack-and-pinion steering becomes visible. See picture 1 of screw drive 4. Clean the screw drive with a clean cloth and remove the existing grease. See picture 2 of cleaned screw drive 5. Prepare a clean brush for greasing the screw drive and, if necessary, mask off the metal sleeve of the brush or similar components to avoid damage to the steering housing or to the screw drive of the toothed rack. See picture 3 with example brush 6. Apply a sufficient amount of long-life grease (A001 989 84 51 09) to the screw drive of the toothed rack with the brush, making sure that this is applied evenly all around; see picture 4 of greased screw drive 7. Reinstall the steering bellows, making sure to replace the inner clamp! Important: The contact surfaces of the bellows and the rack-and-pinion steering should be coated with a thin layer of Renolit (Renolit CX-FO 20, A094 989 38 00 11). For basic data, see WIS AR46.40-P-9998S 8. Move the rack-and-pinion steering several times from one steering limitation to the other to ensure that the grease is evenly distributed in the housing. 9. Assemble in the reverse order.
