Service bulletin SSM 53991
A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

NHTSA's summary
Some 2025 Mustang GTD vehicles may set diagnostic trouble code (DTC) U0420:82 in the image processing module a (IPMA) during a diagnostic self-test. This may be due to the module's DTC sensitivity during vehicle key-on/start-up. Replacement or reprogramming of the IPMA module may not resolve this condition. If no other DTCs are present, no warning indicators are illuminated while the engine is running, and no noticeable symptoms are present, no additional diagnostics or service is recommended for this condition at this time. Inform customers engineering is currently working on a solution for this condition that is expected in Q4 2025. Monitor Professional Technician System (PTS) for additional information and schedule service appointments for customers once the repair becomes available. If this condition is encountered, use the "Submit Global Concern Report (GCR)" link at the upper right of the Vehicle ID tab to submit a report and reference this article number in the report.

This may be due to an internal fuel leak of the high-pressure fuel pump causing fuel to enter the crankcase and reduce fuel pressure in the direct injection fuel rail. Diagnose this condition using Pinpoint Test HP located in Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 303-04. If no DTCs are stored in the PCM, proceed from Step HP1 to Step HP5 and continue testing. Repair as necessary outside of this article. For claiming, if high-pressure fuel pump replacement is required, use causal part number 9D376 and labor operation code 9543A.
