## NHTSA's summary

Drivers of some 2020\-2025 Escape, 2021\-2025 Bronco Sport and 2022\-2025 Maverick vehicles may report the uncommanded locking of the driver door after the door is closed. This may be due to the driver placing their hand on the interior front door handle and inadvertently pushing the manual door lock toggle into the lock position. If the lock and latching mechanisms are functioning normally, and if there are no related diagnostic trouble codes \(DTCs\) or other issues identified, then the system is operating as designed.
