NHTSA's summary

SERVICE BULLETIN L1019: PRODUCT PROGRAM 1901 S2 TCU REPLACEMENT. PURPOSE: LiveWire EV, LLC has identified that certain S2 motorcycles do not recognize the full connectivity benefit due to the lack of completion of regularly scheduled Firmware Over The Air (FOTA) updates. Certain S2 motorcycle’s Telematic Control Unit (TCU) that have not been updated to the latest software version which prevents full operation of the TCU and the motorcycle’s ability to receive FOTA updates will need to be inspected and the TCU replaced. Vehicle performance and safety are not affected. Additionally, there is an upcoming cloud update scheduled for August 31st, 2025, which will prevent motorcycles with these early TCU software versions from connecting to cloud services. If the affected vehicle's TCU is not updated by this time, connected service within the LiveWire S2 mobile app will cease to function.

This bulletin informs dealers of best practices for diagnosing a LiveWire S2 vehicle that presents a depleted or fully-discharged 12 V battery and making sure contributing issues are identified. Use this bulletin’s troubleshooting guidance to help identify contributing issues affecting 12 V battery health. A depleted or fully discharged 12v battery may be the result of other systems or components affecting 12 V battery health. Or it may be the result of expected behavior relating to certain conditions the 12 V battery was exposed.
L10252026-03-05. Service campaign. SERVICE BULLETIN L1025: PRODUCT PROGRAM 1902 S2 ABS/EHCU MODULE CORRECTION. PURPOSE: Initial Release. This bulletin informs dealers that the Anti-lock Braking System / Electro -Hydraulic Control Unit (ABS EHCU) module on some S2 Del Mar and Mulholland vehicles have a software configuration that prevents them from being unlocked. This prevents the ability to perform an ABS service bleed and software updates. It does not affect the operation of Anti-lock Braking System (ABS). The update is applied by Digital Technician II (DT II) and will apply a seed and key to the Electro Hydraulic Control Unit (EHCU), which enables it to be unlocked via DT II or Firmware Over The Air (FOTA) update. The affected vehicles will also require an EHCU reflash following the update.

The 2024 S2 Del Mar replacement Power Electronics Unit (PEU) will be changing color from silver to black. There is a black trim kit (Part No. 47201242 or 47201243) available to switch over silver components on a customer's motorcycle. This kit will be ordered in addition to the replacement PEU for motorcycles with silver trim.

Vehicles built prior to November 13, 2023 have a filter (Part No. 66000371) which has been superseded to (Part No. 66000371A). Replacing AC Filter (Part No. 66000371) will require additional parts and fasteners to install the superseded AC Filter (Part No. 66000371A).
