# Service campaign I\-24\-08\_R04

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

## NHTSA's summary

Indian Motorcycle has determined that model year 2020\-2024 Challenger, 2022\-2024 Pursuit and 2024 Chief motorcycles may encounter a scenario in which the Vehicle Control Module \(VCM\) or Wireless Control Module \(WCM\) may not fully power off, resulting in unnecessary current draw from the battery. To address this concern, Indian Motorcycle has released this Service Bulletin with instructions to update the VCM and/or WCM software. Revision 4 Added notice that bulletin part I\-24\-08\-CA should not be performed on Japan models.
