Service campaign CB772-1

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

NHTSA's summary

Thermo King LLC has decided that a defect which relates to motor vehicle safety exists because of supplier error. Certain TriPac 3 auxiliary power units (“APU”) with the claw mounting option were shipped with mounting kits containing 7” length bolts instead of 7.5” length bolts. This recall affects TriPac 3 APU’s manufactured on or between April 8th 2024 through May 15th 2024. The mounting bolts must be inspected and replaced if needed. This inspect includes TriPac 3 unit still in the crate and TriPac 3 units already installed on vehicles.
