Service bulletin S2519000001

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

91005752025-05-29. Service bulletin. Gear rack and pinion: Custodian would encounter steer feel being heavier and may feel some pulling. Customer may complain the steering feels heavy while returning to steering wheel to center during a lower speed turn. Customer may also complain the vehicles pulls slightly at highway speeds. There are no DTCs associated with that scenario. Older software pull drift compensation and zero-point learning is not optimized. New Software has optimized pull drift compensation and zero-point learning. Do not replace the steering gear for these scenarios when an EPS DTC is not present. Reflash software instead.
