"Flash: Powertrain Control Module (PCM) Updates Customers must experience a Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) illumination and the vehicle must exhibit one or more of the following Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs): ● P245D - EGR Cooler Bypass Control Circuit High. ● P02E3 - Diesel Intake Air Flow Control Circuit High. ● P0490 - EGR Control circuit High. ● P229F - Aftertreatment N0X Sensor Circuit Performance - Bank 1 Sensor 2. ● P0299 - Turbocharger Underboost. ● P242F - Diesel Particulate Filter Restriction - Ash Accumulation. ● P0128 - Thermostat Rationality. In addition, the following software enhancements are available: ● Improved troubleshooting and repair accuracy for air handling components. ● Eliminates false faults for air handling actuators. Discussion: Some customers may experience a, inop rear axle locker, and Service Axle Locker message. After further investigation, the technician may not find any diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) set. However, intermittently, they may find the following DTCs set in the Drivetrain Control Module (DTCM). • C141C-11 Rear Differential Control Circuit Short To Ground. • C141C-13 Rear Differential Control Circuit Open. If the technician is working on a vehicle with the above condition, please perform the repair procedure below. Repair Procedure: 1. Remove the rear differential cover. 2. Inspect the e-locker actuator wiring harness for damage due to contact with the differential.
