# Service bulletin 24N15

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

- Type: Service bulletin
- NHTSA id: 11009914
- Published by NHTSA: 2024\-11\-06
- Manufacturer's number: 24N15

## NHTSA's summary

In the affected vehicles, over time, the Electric Vacuum Pump \(EVP\) may stop functioning due to broken wires internal to the pump. This may result in the driver experiencing a hard brake pedal feel and perceived reduction in brake response

## Other bulletins for the same vehicles and component

- [TSB 25\-2268](/bulletins/11019661.md), 2025-06-19, Service bulletin: SERVICE BRAKES. Some of the vehicles listed in the Model statement above may exhibit an illuminated brake warning lamp while driving through high altitude areas with diagnostic trouble code \(DTC\) P050F stored in the anti\-lock brake system module \(ABS\). This may be due to the ABS software level.
- [SSM 51261](/bulletins/10228876.md), 2023-01-06, Service bulletin: SERVICE BRAKES. Some Ford and Lincoln vehicles may exhibit noise when the brakes are applied. When diagnosing and repairing brake noise conditions, use the Workshop Manual \(WSM\) and the appropriate pinpoint test in section 206\-00. The brake rotors should only be machined if directed by the WSM because one or more of the following conditions are present on the braking surface: scoring, excessive corrosion/rust or pitting, bluing/discoloration and/or heat spots. For additional information, refer to WSM section 206\-00.
- [SSM 51120](/bulletins/10222788.md), 2022-10-11, Service bulletin: SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC.
- [SSM 50720](/bulletins/10210806.md), 2022-05-03, Service bulletin: PARKING BRAKE. 2020\-2022 Transit vehicles equipped with the push down parking brake lever operate differently than the standard parking brake. When the push down parking brake is engaged by pulling the lever upward to its fullest extent, the lever can then be lowered and raised without the parking brake becoming disengaged. To disengage the parking brake, the button must be pressed and held when the lever is in the most upward position, prior to lowering the lever. Refer to the Owner's Manual for additional information.
