## NHTSA's summary

SERVICE BULLETIN M1659: PAN AMERICA FUEL TANK UPDATE. PURPOSE: This bulletin informs dealers that the 2024 Pan America vehicles have been updated to have the inside of the fuel tank e\-coated. To accommodate this process, a threaded plug \(Part No. 10500167\) was added to the left rear of the fuel tank. When ordering replacement fuel tanks for 2021\-2023 vehicles, they will come with the e\-coat process. Dealers will need to order and install the threaded plug \(Part No. 10500167\) separately. Electronic Parts Catalogs are updated to reflect this information. NOTE: When ordering replacement fuel tanks for 2021\-2023 Pan America vehicles, they will come non e\-coated. Once old stock is depleted, all replacement tanks will come e\-coated and dealers will need to order \(Part No. 10500167\) separately. Upgrading to new fuel tank is not warrantable.
