# Service bulletin E290

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

- [26PACB](/bulletins/11035098.md), 2026-07-20, Service campaign: ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM. "\(KW\): Certain Kenworth K270 and K370 Battery Electric Vehicle \(BEV\) chassis equipped with certain DANA cradle harnesses may intermittently lose electrical continuity at one or more C40 connector pins. This can occur without warning and cause loss of propulsion, increasing the risk of a crash. Certified BEV technicians will inspect the C40 connector and replace the cradle harness, if necessary. This safety recall defect is identical to 25KWD and applies to certain Canadian chassis added on 07/02/2026. \(PB\): Certain Peterbilt Model 220 Battery Electric Vehicle \(BEV\) chassis equipped with certain DANA cradle harnesses may intermittently lose electrical continuity at one or more C40 connector pins. This can occur without warning and cause loss of propulsion, increasing the risk of a crash. Certified BEV technicians will inspect the C40 connector and replace the cradle harness, if necessary. This safety recall defect is identical to 25PBD and applies to certain Canadian chassis added on 07/02/2026."
- [25KWD 25PBD](/bulletins/11035096.md), 2026-07-20, Service campaign: ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM. Additional US chassis have been added, along with additional Canadian chassis under identical safety recall 26PACB.
- [E318](/bulletins/11020043.md), 2025-07-02, Service bulletin: ENGINE; FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM. Newly designed fuel injectors are available for EPA2021 compliant PACCAR MX\-series engines to optimize engine performance. - [R2405 \- PB](/bulletins/11017894.md), 2025-05-06, Service bulletin: ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; ENGINE; FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM. Due to parts availability issues, this bulletin will be divided into 2 phases. Phase 1 will enable these chassis to be brought into emissions compliancebefore 06/30/2025 to avoid fi nes and penalties. Phase 2 will include all parts that are not currently available but are necessary to bring chassis up toproduction level. This bulletin will be updated once all Phase 2 parts become available . The emissions exemption for all chassis involved in this retrofi t expires on 06/30/2025. After that date, all chassis that have not received this Retrofi t willbe out of compliance with emissions regulations and illegal to operate . NOTE If emissions exemptions are allowed to expire, vehicle owners could receive civil fines per regulation 40 CFR 19.4 up to $5,911 per engine. In addition, owners may be required to discontinue operation of the vehicle until the retrofit is completed. Campaign start date: 04/18/25

- [23PBH](/bulletins/10245638.md), 2023-12-02, Service bulletin: FUEL SYSTEM, DIESEL. Safety Recall Parts are now available to remedy this issue. Certain model year 2021 to 2024, 567 and 579 vehicles built from 06/22/2020 through 06/16/2023 were equipped with air tank bracket G11\-6439\-009mounted behind a fuel tank without a frame spacer. The air tank mounting U\-bolt tips may be different lengths and could contact the fuel tank, which can result in a hole and the potential for a fuel leak. Leaking fuel may lead to an increased risk of a fire.
- [E306](/bulletins/10244487.md), 2023-11-10, Service bulletin: FUEL SYSTEM, DIESEL. Incorrect fuel filter drain and replacement procedures on EPA21 MX\-11 and MX\-13 engines can result in the following: .Debris and contaminants introduced into the high\-pressure fuel system. .Denial of warranty claims for injector and/or fuel system faults. .Misfire, rough running, engine knock, and other associated faults and symptoms. Correct fuel filter procedures are outlined in attached service documentation.
