## NHTSA's summary

This Warranty Field Campaign describes the recalibration steps for the engine control module to return units back to their original calibration prior to the issue of several Temporary Repair Practices \(TRPs\). These TRPs were issued to address certain vehicles with Diesel Exhaust Fluid \(DEF\) tank header sensor failures in which DEF tank header replacement parts were not available. Due to DEF tank header part shortages caused by the COVID pandemic, a temporary engine control module calibration was released that reduced inducement levels to allow for continued operation of the vehicle until DEF header parts became available for a final repair. As supply has recovered and DEF tank header parts have become more readily available, the TRPs have been discontinued. The temporary engine control module calibrations are being obsoleted and superseded back to the original calibration prior to the issue of the TRPs.
