## NHTSA's summary

Owner Notification Letter \- Your vehicle may be equipped with an improperly functioning on\-board emission\-related diagnostic system that violates California and Federal standards and regulations. While transitioning from hybrid mode \(engine on\) to EV mode, a software programming error results in the PGM\-FI ECU resetting and inappropriately erasing stored memory data in the PGM\-FI ECU. In some cases, the Malfunction Indicator Lamp \(MIL\) may be set as a result.
