Service campaign 2024070002

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

NHTSA's summary

Mercedes-Benz AG, the manufacturer of Mercedes-Benz vehicles, has determined that on certain MY 2022-2023 AMG SL (232 platform) vehicles, the routing of the 12V battery ground cable may not correspond to current production specifications. In this case, it is possible the ground connection may loosen over time. Should the ground connection loosen, the possibility exists that the convertible soft top may become inoperable, or a "12V battery, voltage too low" message may appear in the instrument cluster.
