## NHTSA's summary

Mercedes\-Benz AG, the manufacturer of Mercedes\-Benz vehicles, has determined that on certain MY 2023\-2024 EQE SUV \(294 platform\) vehicles, the powertrain control unit software does not correspond to the latest series production configuration. Due to a faulty shutoff and start sequence in the communication infrastructure, sporadic faults may occur in the communication bus. This may result in various error messages in the instrument cluster, and the vehicle might not start.
