Service bulletin L-SB-0017-24

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

NHTSA's summary

Some 2023 model year RX 500h vehicles may exhibit a delay and/or reduction in output of warm air from the HVAC system while the vehicle engine is at normal operating temperatures (over 170°F or 77°C). This condition usually occurs immediately after a hot restart, while the vehicle is in Ready ON, but before the internal combustion engine starts. The Engine Control Module (ECM) (SAE term: Powertrain Control Module/PCM) logic has been modified to reduce the possibility of this condition.
