## NHTSA's summary

This is to notify you of the Service Campaign Launch to update the SCN coding in the EIS on\-board electrical system in 6,055 Model Year \(“MY”\) 2022\-2023 SL \(232 platform\) vehicles. The vehicles will be visible and flagged in VMI as “OPEN” on May 3, 2024.Mercedes\-Benz AG, the manufacturer of Mercedes\-Benz vehicles, has determined that on certain MY 2022\-2023 SL \(232 platform\) vehicles, premature or unwanted smartkey recognition could slowly discharge the 12V battery. MBUSA will conduct a service campaign. An authorized Mercedes\-Benz dealer will update the SCN coding in the EIS on\-board electrical system.
