## NHTSA's summary

Some 2024 Ranger vehicles equiped with a park by wire electronic shifter may exhibit a "Transmission Not In Park" message in the instrument panel cluster \(IPC\). This may be due to the transmission park by wire manual release being in the released position. Before performing normal Workshop Manaul \(WSM\) diagnostics, verify that the transmission park by wire manual release is engaged. Refer to the WSM, Section 307\-05 Automatic Transmission External Controls \> General Procedures.

- [TSB 26\-2301](/bulletins/11034223.md), 2026-07-01, Service bulletin: POWER TRAIN; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Some of the vehicles listed in the Model statement above may require the replacement of the ambient air temperature sensor for various concerns. DTCs P0071, P0072, and/or P0073 may be present in the powertrain control module \(PCM\).
- [SSM 54902](/bulletins/11033775.md), 2026-06-09, Service bulletin: POWER TRAIN. For 20202026 vehicles equipped with the 10R60 transmission, a new Transmission Clutch Circuit Leak Test has been introduced in the Ford Diagnosis and Repair System \(FDRS\). This test utilizes the pressure and vacuum transducer \(PVT\) when available. Workshop Manual \(WSM\) updates related to this diagnostic procedure are planned for release in Q4 2026. The new test improves the accuracy of detecting leaks within transmission fluid circuits and replaces the previous air check method. The previous air check procedure has been shown to produce a high rate of false positives, which may lead to unnecessary repairs when no actual leak is present. Accordingly, the air check procedure is not to be used for diagnosing internal transmission hydraulic leaks or as justification for transmission replacement.
- [TSB 26\-2210](/bulletins/11033573.md), 2026-06-05, Service bulletin: POWER TRAIN; ENGINE. Some of the vehicles listed in the Model statement above may exhibit all of the following conditions: \* Engine misfire condition \* Illuminated malfunction indicator lamp \(MIL\) with diagnostic trouble codes \(DTC\) P0301, P0302, P0303, and/or P0304 stored in the powertrain control module \(PCM\)
- [ECG2\-25.2.8.5 Ranger](/bulletins/11030368.md), 2026-03-31, Over\-the\-air update: POWER TRAIN; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. "26C10 Recall remedy \-Addresses instances where the trailer lights and trailer brakes may not function"
- [SSM 54592](/bulletins/11029081.md), 2026-02-27, Service bulletin: POWER TRAIN. For 20172026 vehicles equipped with a 10R transmission, a revision to the Road Testing Vehicle procedure has been made in the WSM, located in Section 307\-01 \> Diagnosis and Testing. This updated procedure improves the diagnosis of customer reported transmission concerns and aids in locating the proper root cause. During diagnosis and testing, details regarding whether the condition is more prevalent when the vehicle is hot or cold, throttle percentage at the time of occurrence, vehicle speed, the specific shift involved, and whether the issue occurs during transmission engagements \(N\>R, N\>D, R\>D, or D\>R\) should be noted. Engineering requests including these detailed operating conditions that will significantly assist with root cause analysis. Diagnosis, testing, and repair should use established labor times outside this article.
- [BCM\-25.7.0 Ranger](/bulletins/11028993.md), 2026-02-24, Over\-the\-air update: UNKNOWN OR OTHER; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; POWER TRAIN. Quality improvements include: \-Addresses a fault code that prevents vehicles from leaving inhibit mode
- [TSB 25\-2621](/bulletins/11028830.md), 2026-02-17, Service bulletin: STRUCTURE:BODY; POWER TRAIN; UNKNOWN OR OTHER; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Some vehicles listed in the Model statement above may exhibit a no crank/no start condition where the customer cannot start their vehicle. The vehicle may also exhibit a "No Key Detected" message displayed on the instrument panel cluster \(IPC\), and no key fob works in the back up slot. The remote keyless entry \(RKE\) functionality will work to lock/unlock the vehicle.
- [SSM 54503](/bulletins/11027712.md), 2026-01-21, Service bulletin: POWER TRAIN. Some 2021\-2025 F\-150, 2022\-2025 Expedition/Navigator, 2023\-2026 F\-Super Duty, 2024\-2025 Ranger and 2026 Transit vehicles may exhibit a discharged battery and/or a no crank/no start condition. The vehicle may also exhibit a clicking noise from the trailer module \(TRM\) while the vehicle is off. This may be due to software in the TRM.\<br /\>\<br /\>Verify the TRM software part number in the vehicle using Ford Diagnosis and Repair System \(FDRS\) to be PC3T\-19J297\-BF, PC3T\-19J297\-FF, ML3T\-19J297\-CD or ML3T\-19J297\-GD. To confirm a vehicle is equipped with a certain software level, review the software information by hovering over the "Diagnostics" tab in Professional Technician System \(PTS\) and selecting "Vehicle Software". If one of the listed software part numbers is present, follow the Service Procedure to reprogram the TRM. For vehicles with any other software part number in the TRM, refer to Workshop Manual \(WSM\), Section 414\-01 to continue with normal diagnostics outside of this article. This may be due to corrosion found in the active grille shutter lower connector \(C1767\). If no corrosion is found in this connector, refer to the Workshop Manual \(WSM\), Section 414\-00 for normal diagnostics. If corrosion is found, replace the connector and active grille shutter \(AGS\) actuator \(base part number: 10884\). To aid in engineering investigation, when removing the corroded connector cut the wires about 3 inches \(76 mm\) from the connector to ensure adequate wire is left for analysis. If the corrosion condition is encountered, use the "Submit Global Concern Report \(GCR\)" link at the upper right of the Vehicle ID tab to submit a report and reference this article number in the report. For claiming, use causal part 14290 and labor operations 12650D, 12650D45, 12650D45WR, 12650D78LW, 12650D78BU, 12650D78CM, and/or 12650D78TD in Section 10 of the Service Labor Time Stand
