# Service bulletin TSB 24\-2083

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

- NHTSA id: 10252609
- Published by NHTSA: 2024\-04\-03
- Manufacturer's number: TSB 24\-2083

## NHTSA's summary

This article supersedes TSB 24\-2030 to update the production fix date. Some 2023\-2024 F\-Super Duty vehicles built on or before 07\-Feb\-2024 and equipped with a 6.7L engine may exhibit an intermittent interruption of a split shaft PTO system installed by an upfitter. This may be due to the software in the powertrain control module \(PCM\).

## Other bulletins for the same vehicles and component

- [TSB 24\-2066](/bulletins/10252546.md), 2024-04-03, Service bulletin: ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; POWER TRAIN; POWER TRAIN:AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION:CONTROL MODULE \(TCM/PCM/TECM\); ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:SOFTWARE. This TSB supersedes article 24\-2036 to update the vehicles affected. Some 2023\-2024 F\-Super Duty pickup vehicles built on or before 02\-Jan\-2024 equipped with a 6.7L engine may exhibit an illuminated MIL with diagnostic trouble codes \(DTC\) P0133, P0139, and/or P0145 stored in the powertrain control module \(PCM\). This may be due to the software in the PCM and does not affect vehicle operation.
- [SSM 52345](/bulletins/10251956.md), 2024-03-20, Service bulletin: ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:SOFTWARE. Some 2022\-2024 various Ford/Lincoln vehicles equipped with SYNC 4 may experience concern where customers are receiving an error message when trying to enroll in connected services. This may be due to the gateway module \(GWM\) software. To correct the concern, download and run the Transport and Factory Mode Deactivation app: under HS1 modules select BCM \> Transport and Factory Mode \> Download \> Run. When the pop\-up message appears for Change Vehicle Mode \- Transport/Factory/Normal Mode, press OK. This will proceed to the Transport and Factory Mode Deactivation screen, select Unlock Vehicle Connectivity Settings \(21 MY \+ Vehicles\). A pop\-up message appears noting Vehicle Is Now In Normal Mode, select OK. This will return to the Transport and Factory Mode Deactivation screen, select Exit. A final pop\-up notification stating that the application is finished, select OK. For claiming, use causal part 14G490 and applicable labor operations in Section 10 of the Service Labor Time Standards \(SLTS\) Manual.
- [TSB 23\-2386](/bulletins/10248352.md), 2024-01-05, Service bulletin: ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:SOFTWARE; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM: INSTRUMENT CLUSTER/PANEL; EQUIPMENT. Some 2023 F\-Super Duty vehicles equipped with a 12.3 inch instrument cluster display screen may exhibit various concerns with the instrument panel cluster \(IPC\). This may be due to the software in the IPC. To correct the condition, follow the Service Procedure to reprogram the IPC.
- [OTA SU5 P1 SD](/bulletins/10246347.md), 2023-12-07, Service bulletin: EXTERIOR LIGHTING; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:SOFTWARE; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Software Update SU5 P1 for 2023 SUPERDUTY vehicles is now available. Quality improvements include: \- Prevent Headlamps from turning ON during future OTA update. \- Welcome animation and power running board deploy when approach to the vehicle.
- [OTAPU0721RECOMSD](/bulletins/10246338.md), 2023-12-07, Service bulletin: ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:SOFTWARE. Software Update PU0721\-RE\-COM for 2023 SUPERDUTY vehicles is now available. Quality improvements include: \- Reenable compass heading in the cluster. \- Improved overall display graphics looks and feel.
- [SSM 51738](/bulletins/10238276.md), 2023-06-30, Service bulletin: ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:SOFTWARE. Some 2023 F\-Super Duty vehicles may set diagnostic trouble code \(DTC\) U211B:87 in various modules when a diagnostic self\-test is performed, which includes: powertrain control module \(PCM\), advanced driver assistance system \(ADAS\), anti\-lock brake system \(ABS\), power steering control module \(PSCM\), body control module \(BCM\), telematics control unit \(TCU\), driver door module \(DDM\), and/or passengers door module \(PDM\). This may be due to the modules DTC sensitivity during vehicle key\-on/start\-up. Replacement or reprogramming of these module\(s\) may not resolve this condition. U211B:87 should be ignored if: no other DTCs are present, no warning indicators are illuminated while the engine is running and no noticeable symptoms are present. No further service action is required.
