# Service bulletin B160123

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

- Type: Service bulletin
- NHTSA id: 10249015
- Published by NHTSA: 2024\-02\-01
- Manufacturer's number: B160123

- NHTSA component: FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE

## NHTSA's summary

A vehicle arrives at your center to be diagnosed for a micro\-leak in the fuel evaporative \(EVAP\) system\(NVLD natural vacuum leak detection\). For this condition, the following fault is stored in the DME: 190302 \- fuel tank ventilation and scavenging air system, micro\-leak: leakage more than 0.5mm For: Model vehicles other that the ones listed above, or for EVAP faults related to a “large leak,” after confirming that the fuel filler cap is fitted properly, then, proceed to follow the corresponding test plan

- [B011724](/bulletins/11021119.md), 2025-07-31, Warranty extension: FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM. The Fuel Injector Condition\-Specific Repair Coverage Program applies to qualifying repairs for the required replacement of one or more the fuel injectors which were determined to have failed due to a buildup of external corrosion in the engine’s center fuel injector bore area that resulted after this location was periodically contaminated by engine coolant residue over time. This special program’s coverage is 15 years / 150,000 miles as determined from the vehicle's original in\-service / first delivery date.
- [B120625](/bulletins/11018545.md), 2025-05-26, Service campaign: FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM. The electrical connector for the bank 1 high pressure pump may not have been locked correctly.

- [B160125](/bulletins/11016416.md), 2025-04-03, Service campaign: FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM. BMW AG has decided on a service campaign for certain vehicles from the G2x series. Please have the Integrated Fuel Module control unit \(IFM\) programmed in the vehicles concerned\(according to the vehicle identification number selection\), if possible, before vehicle delivery. If vehicles have already been delivered, have the measure carried out the next time the vehicles enter theworkshop.

This special program’s coverage is 15 years / 150,000 miles as determined from the vehicle's original in\-service /first delivery date. It is subject to the same vehicle requirements and limitations criteria that applies to the BMW New Vehicle Limited Warranty for Passenger Cars and Light Trucks. The repair / replacement of cooling system components and / or the fuel injectors for other issues are excluded under this special coverage.
- [B011724](/bulletins/11012076.md), 2024-12-31, Warranty extension: FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM. the Fuel Injector Condition\-Specific Repair Coverage Program applies to qualifying repairs for the required replacement of one or more the fuel injectors which were determined to have failed due to a buildup of external corrosion in the engine’s center fuel injector bore area that resulted after this location was periodically contaminated by engine coolant residue over time. - [B160224](/bulletins/11010757.md), 2024-11-25, Service campaign: FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM. There may be a restriction in the low\-pressure fuel line at the tank flange for the in\-tank delivery pump \(lowpressure pump\). As a result, the required fuel flow volume is not available. If there is an insufficient supply offuel \(even if only for a very brief period\), the high\-pressure pump might suffer preliminary damage. Inaddition, in the event of a fault, there might be a power reduction or “jerking” motions while driving.
