# Service bulletin TSB 23\-2412

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

- Type: Service bulletin
- NHTSA id: 10248363
- Published by NHTSA: 2024\-01\-05
- Manufacturer's number: TSB 23\-2412
- Manufacturer's date: 2023\-12\-13
- NHTSA component: ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:COOLING SYSTEM

## NHTSA's summary

This article supersedes TSB 23\-2372 to add 2022 model year vehicle applications. Some 2022\-2023 F\-150 vehicles equipped with a 3.5L PowerBoost engine may exhibit an illuminated engine coolant temperature warning lamp with a Motor Coolant Over Temperature message in the IPC with diagnostic trouble code \(DTC\) P0A2F:94 stored in the secondary on\-board diagnostic control module C \(SOBDMC\). This may be due to the software level of the SOBDMC. To correct this condition, perform the Service Procedure below to reprogram the SOBDMC to the latest software level via the Ford Diagnosis and Repair System \(FDRS\).

- [TSB 22\-2089](/bulletins/10209031.md), 2022-03-15, Service bulletin: ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:COOLING SYSTEM:FAN; UNKNOWN OR OTHER. Some 2015\-2022 F\-150, 2017\-2022 F\-Super Duty and 2018\-2022 Expedition/Navigator vehicles may exhibit poor air conditioning \(A/C\) performance, loss of airflow and/or engine cooling fans running continuously from high A/C pressures. This concern may be from the evaporator freezing up due to the evaporator temperature sensor being biased. To correct the condition, follow the Service Procedure steps to replace the evaporator temperature sensor.
