Service bulletin SSM 52105
A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

NHTSA's summary
Some 2023 F-Super Duty vehicles may exhibit pre-collision assist, hill start assist, Advance Trac, and/or blind spot/cross traffic fault messages with diagnostic trouble code (DTC) C1B00:62 stored in the power steering control module (PSCM). This may be due to the software in the PSCM. To correct the condition, reprogram the PSCM using the latest software level of the Ford Diagnosis and Repair System (FDRS) diagnostic scan tool. For claiming, use causal part 3G568 and applicable labor operations in Section 10 of the Service Labor Time Standards (SLTS) Manual.

| SSM 54594 | 2026-02-27. Service bulletin. Some 2023-2026 F-Super Duty vehicles may exhibit rain sensitive wipers (if equipped) settings that do not change when selected in the center touch screen. Vehicles may also exhibit an inoperative heated steering wheel (if equipped) after a remote start event. This may be due to the software in the steering column control module (SCCM). To correct the condition, reprogram the SCCM using the latest software version of the Ford Diagnosis and Repair System (FDRS) scan tool. For claiming, use causal part 3F791 and labor operations 12651D and 12651D4. |

| SSM 54587 | 2026-02-20. For claiming, use causal part 3F791 and labor operation 12651D. |
| SSM 54333 | 2025-11-04. Service bulletin. Some 2023-2025 F-Super Duty vehicles may exhibit a no crank/no start or intermittent no crank/no start with multiple warning indicators and DTC U0100 stored in the anti-lock brake system (ABS), audio front control module (ACM) and power steering control module (PSCM). This may be due to an incorrectly tightened ground 113 (G113). Inspect G113 for proper connection and tighten to 12 Nm (8.9 ft-lb). If the condition remains after tightening G113, perform normal diagnostics outside of this article. Refer to Workshop Manual, Section 303-06 Starting System. For claiming, use causal part 12A581 and labor operations 12650D and 12650D45WR of the Service Labor Time Standards (SLTS) Manual. |
| SSM 54311 | 2025-10-28. Service bulletin. 2023-2026 F-Super Duty vehicles may be equipped from the factory with a power steering system filled with Motorcraft® MERCON® LV Automatic Transmission Fluid XT-10-QLVC or XL-22 high temperature power steering fluid that looks like clear hydraulic fluid. Both fluids are interchangeable in the power steering system when service is required. Workshop Manual, Section 211-02 > Power Steering > Specifications has been updated to provide the correct power steering fluid usage. |
| SSM 54052 | 2025-07-24. Service bulletin. Some 2023-2025 F-Super Duty vehicles may display an error during replacement of the SCCM that contains the following message: "Reprogramming has failed, would you like to retry?". If this error is present, the SCCM will not complete PMI and may store diagnostic trouble codes (DTC) U2100 and/or U2101 in the SCCM. This may be due to a concern with the compatibility of the software with a hardware change in the SCCM. To correct the condition, download and run the "SCCM - Steering Column Control Module (SCCM) Configuration" application in the Ford Diagnosis and Repair System (FDRS). Inform customers that although the PMI is incomplete, there is no affect on vehicle performance. Customers can continue to drive the vehicle. To make sure the vehicle correctly receives the latest SCCM software, engineering is currently working on a solution for this condition that is expected in late Q3 2025. Monitor Professional Technician System (PTS) for additional information and schedule service appointments for customers once the software becomes available. |
| SSM 53066 | 2024-10-29. Service bulletin. Some 2023-2024 F-Super Duty vehicles may exhibit various steering concerns such as perceived looseness and/or wander. WSM, Section 211-02 and 211-03 > Diagnosis and Testing has been updated to improve diagnostics. |
| SSM 52524 | 2024-05-22. Service bulletin. Some 2023-2024 F-Super Duty vehicles built on 22-May-2023 and through 15-Dec-2023 may require repairs of the power steering system for various reasons. If repairing a power steering fluid leak at or near the power steering fluid cooler, a worm clamp (part number 376240-S100) can be used adjacent to the factory clamp in lieu of steering hose replacement for any power steering hoses affected by the repair. |
| SSM 52477 | 2024-05-03. Service bulletin. Some 2023-2024 F-Super Duty vehicles may exhibit various diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) related to the steering angle sensor. Prior to any diagnosis, determine if the vehicle is equipped with an electronic steering actuator (ESA), also referred to as the power steering control module (PSCM), so appropriate pinpoint tests are followed. The ESA is located on the steering shaft and can be seen through the left fender opening or under the hood near the driver's side frame rail. Refer to the Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 211-02 for images as needed. For vehicles equipped with an ESA, the steering angle sensor is integrated into the ESA. For vehicles not equipped with ESA, the steering angle sensor is integrated into the steering column control module, behind the clockspring. The pinpoint tests for the steering angle sensor in the WSM will specify what test or steps to follow based on presence of ESA. Failure to follow the proper pinpoint test may lead to improper diagnosis and repair. |
| SSM 52188 | 2024-01-24. Service bulletin. 2024 F-Super Duty vehicles are equipped with XL-22 (WSS-M2C184-A1) high temperature power steering fluid that looks like clear hydraulic fluid. This fluid is an improvement in high temperature and thermal oxidative stability compared to Mercon LV. This power steering fluid is also compatible and highly recommended to use when filling or topping off power steering systems of all 2012-2023 F-Super Duty vehicles originally equipped with Mercon LV. |
