## NHTSA's summary

According to Ford Recall 23S48 / 23V598: "You may intermittently experience a rear camera blue or black image on the SYNC screen when the vehicle is placed in reverse or when the 360\-degree view is selected and available \(during low\-speed operation\). Once displayed, the rear camera blue or black image may persist for the remainder of the ignition ON cycle. Once present, the issue is likely to reoccur on subsequent key cycles. See attachment for further information. The loss of the rear camera image, while in reverse, increases the risk of a crash. Ford Motor Company is working closely with its suppliers to produce parts for this repair. When parts become available, Ford Motor Company will notify you via mail to schedule a service appointment with your dealer for repairs to be completed free of charge \(parts and labor\). Parts are anticipated to be available in the second quarter of 2024."
