Service bulletin N232415860

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

NHTSA's summary

Emission Recall. General Motors has decided to conduct a Voluntary Emission Recall involving certain vehicles with a 6.6L diesel engine. The Engine Control Module (ECM) may not properly adjust fuel injector flow for the normal variation in fuel injector flow rate characteristics. This could result in rough engine idle or increased fuel consumption. Dealers are to update the ECM with improved fuel injector flow rate data by performing Fuel Injector Flow Rate Programming with the diagnostic scan tool.
