# Service bulletin T\-SB\-0047

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

- Type: Service bulletin
- NHTSA id: 10241393
- Published by NHTSA: 2023\-08\-28
- Manufacturer's number: T\-SB\-0047

## NHTSA's summary

TSB: Some 2019 model year Avalon Hybrid, 2018 ? 2019 Camry Hybrid, and 2019 ? 2021 RAV4 Hybrid vehicles may exhibit a MIL ON condition with Diagnostic Trouble Code \(DTC\) P019064 \(Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor ?A? Signal Plausibility Failure\). The Engine Control Module \(ECM\) \(SAE term: Powertrain Control Module/PCM\) logic has been modified to reduce the possibility of this condition.

## Other bulletins for the same vehicles and component

- [T\-SB\-0107\-20](/bulletins/10241404.md), 2023-08-28, Service bulletin: ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:ENGINE:ENGINE CONTROL MODULE \(ECU/ECM\):SOFTWARE. TSB: Flash reprogramming allows the Electronic Control Unit \(ECU\) software to be updated without replacing the ECU. Flash calibration updates for specific vehicle models/ECUs are released as field\-fix procedures described in individual Service Bulletins. This bulletin details the Global Techstream\+ \(GTS\+\) ECU flash reprogramming procedures and outlines use of the Technical Information System \(TIS\) and the Calibration Update Wizard\+ \(CUW\+\). To ensure the correct ECU software is installed, ECUs will require a Security Signature before the ECU will initialize the flash reprogramming sequence. This bulletin also details the process for acquiring a Security Signature from TIS during the GTS\+ ECU flash reprogramming process.
- [T\-TT\-0694\-22](/bulletins/10238144.md), 2023-06-26, Service bulletin: ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:ENGINE:ENGINE CONTROL MODULE \(ECU/ECM\). TT: After jump\-starting, the vehicle may experience a no\-start condition and multiple DTCs including U010087. Upon investigation, it is found that the engine ECU has been damaged and needs to be replaced. In several cases, it was found that the cause of the ECU damage was improper jump starting. Further investigation found that ECU damage may occur if the jumper cables are hooked up on or around the engine ECU or ECU mounting bracket
- [TSB005822](/bulletins/10235244.md), 2023-05-01, Service bulletin: ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:ENGINE:ENGINE CONTROL MODULE \(ECU/ECM\); POWER TRAIN. TSB: Some 2019 ? 2022 model year RAV4 vehicles may exhibit a MIL ON condition with one or more of the following Diagnostic Trouble Codes \(DTCs\) present: ?P0087/P008700 ? Fuel Rail/System Pressure ? Too Low ?P107A2A ? Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor \(Low\) Signal Stuck in Range This condition may occur when the vehicle is operated at high altitudes and temperatures, typically above 3,300 feet \(1,000 meters\) and at ambient temperatures above 85°F \(30°C\). The Engine Control Module \(ECM\) \(SAE term: Powertrain Control Module/PCM\) and the fuel suction tube assembly have been improved to reduce the possibility of this condition. Follow the Repair Procedure in this bulletin to address this condition.
- [TTT069922](/bulletins/10224142.md), 2022-10-17, Service bulletin: ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:ENGINE:ENGINE CONTROL MODULE \(ECU/ECM\):SOFTWARE. TT: Some Model Year 2018\-2021 vehicles equipped with A25A\-FKS/FXS or M20A\-FKS/FXS engines may display the following message ?Engine Maintenance Required Visit Your Dealer? on the combination meter.
- [TSB011120Rev1](/bulletins/10224141.md), 2022-10-17, Service bulletin: ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:ENGINE:ENGINE CONTROL MODULE \(ECU/ECM\). TSB: When certain vehicle ECUs are replaced, the ECU security key must be written in order for that ECU to communicate on the vehicle network. The Techstream Software Health Check Results screen has been enhanced to help identify if a replacement ECU requires an ECU security key.
- [T\-SB\-0122\-20 Rev](/bulletins/10198153.md), 2021-06-21, Service bulletin: ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:ENGINE:ENGINE CONTROL MODULE \(ECU/ECM\); ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. TSB: Some 2017 ? 2018 model year Highlander and Sienna, 2018 model year Camry, and 2019 model year Avalon vehicles with and without the stop and start feature may exhibit a MIL ON condition with Diagnostic Trouble Codes \(DTCs\) P07407E and/or P27567F. The Engine Control Module \(ECM\) \(SAE term: Powertrain Control Module/PCM\) logic has been modified to reduce the possibility of this condition. Follow the Repair Procedure in this bulletin to address this condition.
- [T\-SB\-0111\-20](/bulletins/10184541.md), 2020-12-21, Service bulletin: EQUIPMENT:ELECTRICAL; ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:ENGINE:ENGINE CONTROL MODULE \(ECU/ECM\). TSB: When certain vehicle ECUs are replaced, the ECU security key must be written in order for that ECU to communicate on the vehicle network. The Techstream Software Health Check Results screen has been enhanced to help identify if a replacement ECU requires an ECU security key. Follow the procedures in this bulletin to write the ECU security key to the replacement ECU.
