Model: Moto Guzzi V85 \(all models\) Subject: Vehicle stops on road due to lack of battery charge Dear Dealer / Service Centre / Authorised workshop, We hereby inform you that if the vehicle is stopped on the road due to a lack of battery charge, please proceed as described below. SYMPTOM: Vehicle stop due to lack of charge caused by pinched cable after engine guard assembly code 2S001281\-2S001282. SOLUTION: One of the most common causes of lack of battery charge on the vehicles in question is the use of accessory engine guards code 2S00181\-2S00182, because the voltage regulator cable is inadvertently pinched during installation of this accessory. Before requesting the replacement of components such as magneto\-flywheel or battery be avoided, instead search for the area where the regulator cable has been pinched. The following photo shows the engine guard assembled on a vehicle and in the circled area the area where the pinching of the regulator cable occurs.
