Complaint. Customer complains that CEL is active in instrument cluster. May also report rough running. Cause. Software. Remedy. Please update the ME control unit software. The new software should include 177021216. Ensure that a sensor rotor adaptation is conducted afterwards per the instructions in Xentry. Assess the vehicle afterwards and if the complaint is remedied, release the vehicle. If the customer complaint is not remedied, process the vehicle via LI07.61\-P\-070707 and open a TIPS case with your findings. If the vehicle is already at this software level or if software is not available, process the vehicle via LI07.61\-P\-070707 and open a TIPS case with your findings.
