## NHTSA's summary

Some 2021 F\-150 vehicles built on 22\-Jul\-2021 and through 09\-Nov\-2021 may experience inoperative heated front seats with diagnostic trouble codes \(DTC\) B1208:2A and/or B120A:2A in the driver front seat module \(DSM\). This may be due to various software parameters in the DSM. To correct the condition, download and run the DSM \- Driver Front Seat Module \(DSM\) Configuration app on the latest level of the Ford diagnostic scan tool. For claiming use causal part number 14C708 and applicable labor times from Section 10 of the Service Labor Times Standard \(SLTS\) Manual.

Some 2021\-2023 F\-150 vehicles equipped with a gasoline, hybrid or flex fuel engine \(non\-Lightning\) except 2023 F\-150 with 3.3L may exhibit inoperative A/C, lack of air flow, blows warm, and/or evidence of the evaporator freezing. This may be due to the software level of the PCM and heating, ventilation and air conditioning \(HVAC\) module.
- [SSM 52476](/bulletins/10254138.md), 2024-05-03, Service bulletin: EQUIPMENT. All accessory stick\-on keyless entry keypads come with a wallet card containing the master code. If the accessory keypad was factory installed, this card will be placed in the glove box and should be handed to the vehicles owner during initial delivery. Unlike the integrated \(wired\) factory keypad, the accessory keypad master code cannot be retrieved from the vehicle using a diagnostic scan tool. If the wallet card for an accessory keypad is lost, follow these steps to recover the code. Dealer Key Code access is granted through the Dealer Program Enrollment System \(DPES\); dealership management can authorize users. The authorized user must go to FMCDealer.com \> Parts and Service \> Parts Product Line Information \> Keys/Entry Devices \> Aftermarket Keyless Entry Keypad Code Access. Follow the instructions on the screen to obtain the master code for the accessory keypad.

- [SSM 52328](/bulletins/10251947.md), 2024-03-20, Service bulletin: EQUIPMENT:ELECTRICAL:INFOTAINMENT:SOFTWARE; EQUIPMENT:ELECTRICAL:INFOTAINMENT. Some 2021\-2024 Bronco/F\-150, 2023\-2024 Escape/F\-Super Duty vehicles equipped with SYNC 4 may experience a concern during accessory protocol interface module \(APIM\) programming where the vehicle's center display screen indicates USB Error. This may be due to a lack of memory space available to perform the APIM software update. If it is a memory concern, the Ford Diagnosis and Repair System \(FDRS\) will provide an option to delete the voice application. Re\-enter the module programming and when prompted, do not select first option \- SYNC Module \(APIM\) Software Update, select the second option \- Delete Voice Application\(s\) From Module. Once deleted, run the SYNC Module \(APIM\) Software Update as directed, this will update the software and automatically reload the voice app. If the voice delete option is not available, continue with normal diagnostics in the Workshop Manual, Section 418.
- [SSM 52224](/bulletins/10249779.md), 2024-02-06, Service bulletin: EQUIPMENT ADAPTIVE/MOBILITY:VEHICLE CONTROLS:STEERING.
