# Service bulletin SSM 51676

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

## NHTSA's summary

Some 2023 Corsair vehicles may exhibit a continuous memory diagnostic trouble code \(CMDTC\) U0100 stored in the audio front control module \(ACM\) and/or instrument panel cluster \(IPC\) after a self test is performed with Ford Diagnosis and Repair System \(FDRS\) scan tool. If the vehicle does not exhibit any observable symptoms, these DTCs can be ignored. If any observable symptoms are present, refer to normal Workshop Manual \(WSM\) diagnostics.

## Other bulletins for the same vehicles and component

- [SSM 52345](/bulletins/10251956.md), 2024-03-20, Service bulletin: ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:SOFTWARE. Some 2022\-2024 various Ford/Lincoln vehicles equipped with SYNC 4 may experience concern where customers are receiving an error message when trying to enroll in connected services. This may be due to the gateway module \(GWM\) software. To correct the concern, download and run the Transport and Factory Mode Deactivation app: under HS1 modules select BCM \> Transport and Factory Mode \> Download \> Run. When the pop\-up message appears for Change Vehicle Mode \- Transport/Factory/Normal Mode, press OK. This will proceed to the Transport and Factory Mode Deactivation screen, select Unlock Vehicle Connectivity Settings \(21 MY \+ Vehicles\). A pop\-up message appears noting Vehicle Is Now In Normal Mode, select OK. This will return to the Transport and Factory Mode Deactivation screen, select Exit. A final pop\-up notification stating that the application is finished, select OK. For claiming, use causal part 14G490 and applicable labor operations in Section 10 of the Service Labor Time Standards \(SLTS\) Manual.
- [SSM 52179](/bulletins/10248999.md), 2024-01-18, Service bulletin: ELECTRICAL SYSTEM: INSTRUMENT CLUSTER/PANEL; UNKNOWN OR OTHER; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:ADAS:PARKING ASSIST:SOFTWARE. Some 2023 Escape/Corsair vehicles built on or before 07\-Sep\-2023 may exhibit an intermittent no crank/no start condition with various lost communication diagnostic trouble codes \(DTCs\) stored in various modules and multiple illuminated warning indicators such as: anti\-lock brake system \(ABS\) warning indicator, parking brake \(red\) indicator, brake warning indicator, parking brake \(yellow\) warning indicator and/or parking brake \(red\) indicator and/or stability\-traction control indicator displayed in the instrumental panel cluster \(IPC\). This may be due to the software in the ABS module. To restart the vehicle, allow the vehicle to be powered off for more than 10 minutes and attempt a restart. This condition does not affect vehicle durability and no additional diagnosis or service is required for this condition at this time. Inform customers that they can continue to drive the vehicle and engineering is currently working on a solution for this condition that is expected in February 2024. Replacement or reprogramming of the ABS module will not resolve this condition. Monitor OASIS for additional information
- [OTASU6P1 CORSAIR](/bulletins/10246353.md), 2023-12-07, Service bulletin: ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:SOFTWARE; EQUIPMENT:ELECTRICAL:NAVIGATIONAL SYSTEM\(GLOBAL POSITIONING SYSTEM\). Software Update SU6 P1 for 2023 Corsair vehicles is now available. Quality Improvements include: \- Ford Blue Cruise Map expiration removal update \- Allow vehicle entry during OTA update.
- [TSB 23\-2275](/bulletins/10241546.md), 2023-09-01, Service bulletin: ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:SOFTWARE; POWER TRAIN:AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION:CONTROL MODULE \(TCM/PCM/TECM\). Some 2023 Escape/Corsair vehicles built on or before 25\-May\-2023 equipped with a 2.0L EcoBoost engine may exhibit an illuminated malfunction indicator lamp \(MIL\) with diagnostic trouble codes \(DTCs\) P0300 and/or P0316. This may be due to the software in the powertrain control module \(PCM\). To correct this condition, follow the Service Procedure to reprogram the PCM.
- [SSM 51762](/bulletins/10238461.md), 2023-07-03, Service bulletin: ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:SOFTWARE; EQUIPMENT:ELECTRICAL:NAVIGATIONAL SYSTEM\(GLOBAL POSITIONING SYSTEM\). Some 2021\-2023 Ford and Lincoln vehicles equipped with SYNC 4 may exhibit the navigation feature in the center display screen only displaying imperial units and not being able to change to metric. This may be due to the software level of the SYNC module \(APIM\). This issue does not affect vehicle durability and no additional diagnosis or service is required for this condition at this time. Inform customers that engineering is currently working on a solution for this condition and will be released via Ford Power\-Up software updates delivered over\-the\-air \(OTA\) expected in September 2023. Software will update automatically if vehicle connectivity is enabled in the vehicles settings. Schedule a service visit for customers who have disabled vehicle connectivity or who report that they did not receive the update in September 2023. Monitor OASIS for additional information.
