# Service bulletin TSB 23\-2116

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

## NHTSA's summary

Some 2022\-2023 F\-150 Lightning vehicles with Lariat/Platinum trim levels built on or before 06\-Jan\-2023 and 2022 Expedition vehicles built on or before 28\-Oct\-2022 may exhibit a concern with the audio system inoperative or no access to FM, AM or satellite radio modes. This may be due to liquid ingress in the audio front control module \(ACM\) from the top of the dash area. To correct the condition, follow the Service Procedure to replace the ACM and seal the dash seam.

- [TSB 24\-2126](/bulletins/10254176.md), 2024-05-04, Service bulletin: EQUIPMENT. This article supersedes TSB 24\-2093 to address the revised software and include affected 3.5L FHEV vehicles. Some 2021\-2023 F\-150 vehicles equipped with a gasoline, hybrid or flex fuel engine \(non\-Lightning\) except 2023 F\-150 with 3.3L may exhibit inoperative A/C, lack of air flow, blows warm, and/or evidence of the evaporator freezing. This may be due to the software level of the PCM and heating, ventilation and air conditioning \(HVAC\) module.
- [TSB 24\-2116](/bulletins/10254168.md), 2024-05-04, Service bulletin: ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; EQUIPMENT. Some 2023 F\-150 vehicles equipped with a 3.5L PowerBoost engine may exhibit a Trailer Brake System Fault See Manual message in the instrument panel cluster \(IPC\) and/or diagnostic trouble codes \(DTCs\) U0140:87, U0143:87, and/or U0444:82 stored in the trailer module \(TRM\). These symptoms can occur without a trailer connected to the vehicle. This may be due to the software level of the gateway module A \(GWM\).
- [SSM 52476](/bulletins/10254138.md), 2024-05-03, Service bulletin: EQUIPMENT. All accessory stick\-on keyless entry keypads come with a wallet card containing the master code. If the accessory keypad was factory installed, this card will be placed in the glove box and should be handed to the vehicles owner during initial delivery. Unlike the integrated \(wired\) factory keypad, the accessory keypad master code cannot be retrieved from the vehicle using a diagnostic scan tool. If the wallet card for an accessory keypad is lost, follow these steps to recover the code. Dealer Key Code access is granted through the Dealer Program Enrollment System \(DPES\); dealership management can authorize users. The authorized user must go to FMCDealer.com \> Parts and Service \> Parts Product Line Information \> Keys/Entry Devices \> Aftermarket Keyless Entry Keypad Code Access. Follow the instructions on the screen to obtain the master code for the accessory keypad.

Some 2023\-2024 F\-150 and 2024 Bronco/Transit vehicles may exhibit Apple Carplay Bluetooth connectivity concerns. This may be due to the accessory protocol interface module \(APIM\) software. To correct this concern, perform a soft reset by pressing the Power and Seek Foward buttons for 5 seconds, or use the SYNC Module Reset function of the Ford Diagnosis and Repair System \(FDRS\). For claiming, use causal part 14G670 and applicable labor operations in Section 10 of the Service Labor Time Standards \(SLTS\) Manual.
