## NHTSA's summary

CONFIGURING CONSULT 4 FOR REQUIRED DATA TRANSMISSION SERVICE INFORMATION To support proper diagnosis and to promote Fixed\-Right\-First\-Time, Nissan may review CONSULT\-4 \(C\-4\) data relating to vehicle operation and function to help with vehicle diagnosis and diagnostic validation. IMPORTANT: For repair or replacement, dealers are required to connect C\-4 and perform “Diagnosis \(All Systems\)”. Performing C\-4 “Diagnosis \(All Systems\)” is also required prior to contacting any Nissan call center \(e.g., TECH\-LINE, PCC, or WCC\) for diagnostic support or claim pre\-authorization. • For additional information regarding Automated Vehicle Data Collection, refer to WBP18\-032. To support Automated Vehicle Data Collection, your C\-4 must have the Customer vehicle diagnostic data collecting and sending function set to “Send automatically: Without confirmation”. If “Send automatically: Without confirmation” is not selected: • It may cause dealer consideration for Audit or the Anomalous Repair Control \(ARC\) program, where applicable. • It may result in the dealer not receiving reimbursement for warranty service. Refer to the SERVICE PROCEDURE on the next page to confirm your C\-4 Customer vehicle diagnostic data collecting and sending function is set to “Send automatically: Without confirmation”.
