CONFIGURING CONSULT 4 FOR REQUIRED DATA TRANSMISSION SERVICE INFORMATION To support proper diagnosis and to promote Fixed-Right-First-Time, Nissan may review CONSULT-4 (C-4) data relating to vehicle operation and function to help with vehicle diagnosis and diagnostic validation. IMPORTANT: For repair or replacement, dealers are required to connect C-4 and perform “Diagnosis (All Systems)”. Performing C-4 “Diagnosis (All Systems)” is also required prior to contacting any Nissan call center (e.g., TECH-LINE, PCC, or WCC) for diagnostic support or claim pre-authorization. • For additional information regarding Automated Vehicle Data Collection, refer to WBP18-032. To support Automated Vehicle Data Collection, your C-4 must have the Customer vehicle diagnostic data collecting and sending function set to “Send automatically: Without confirmation”. If “Send automatically: Without confirmation” is not selected: • It may cause dealer consideration for Audit or the Anomalous Repair Control (ARC) program, where applicable. • It may result in the dealer not receiving reimbursement for warranty service. Refer to the SERVICE PROCEDURE on the next page to confirm your C-4 Customer vehicle diagnostic data collecting and sending function is set to “Send automatically: Without confirmation”.
