# Service bulletin CL\-ELWExhaustVal

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

- Type: Service bulletin
- NHTSA id: 10233794
- Published by NHTSA: 2023\-04\-05
- Manufacturer's number: CL\-ELWExhaustVal

## NHTSA's summary

Why the warranty extension? On certain Model Year 2011\-2016 CL/CLS/S/E/ML/SL/G/GL/GLE\-Class vehicles with V8 engines, the exhaust valve assembly might not work properly and result in an engine misfire and potential illumination of the check engine Malfunction Indicator Lamp \(‘MIL’\).
