# Service bulletin SA\-011\-23

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

If a vehicle is stuck in the EPB \(Electronic Parking Brake\) maintenance mode or cannot be put into the maintenance mode, use the repair procedure below to continue or complete the repairs. This happens when the MAINTENANCE MODE procedure is not followed exactly. CAUTIONS will be added to the WSM procedure, but until then, take note of these CAUTIONS:

- [04\-003\-23](/bulletins/10238665.md), 2023-07-05, Service bulletin: PARKING BRAKE. When entering the Emergency Parking Brake \(EPB\) maintenance mode, if only one side of the parking brake is fully released, the vehicle may be stuck in the EPB maintenance mode. To eliminate this concern, the control software of the DSC HU/CM has been modified.
