# Service bulletin SSM 51392

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

## Other bulletins for the same vehicles and component

- [SSM 52476](/bulletins/10254138.md), 2024-05-03, Service bulletin: EQUIPMENT. All accessory stick\-on keyless entry keypads come with a wallet card containing the master code. If the accessory keypad was factory installed, this card will be placed in the glove box and should be handed to the vehicles owner during initial delivery. Unlike the integrated \(wired\) factory keypad, the accessory keypad master code cannot be retrieved from the vehicle using a diagnostic scan tool. If the wallet card for an accessory keypad is lost, follow these steps to recover the code. Dealer Key Code access is granted through the Dealer Program Enrollment System \(DPES\); dealership management can authorize users. The authorized user must go to FMCDealer.com \> Parts and Service \> Parts Product Line Information \> Keys/Entry Devices \> Aftermarket Keyless Entry Keypad Code Access. Follow the instructions on the screen to obtain the master code for the accessory keypad.

- [SSM 52373](/bulletins/10252636.md), 2024-04-04, Service bulletin: EQUIPMENT; VISIBILITY:DEFROSTER/DEFOGGER/HVAC SYSTEM. Some 2020\-2024 Aviator vehicles equipped with auto air refresh option \(minor feature code G1DAG\) may exhibit a buzzing/clicking/humming/ticking sound from the OHC and/or diagnostic trouble code \(DTC\) P24AE in the heating ventilation and air conditioning \(HVAC\) module. To confirm if a vehicle is built with a certain minor feature code, review the build information by double\-clicking the vehicle identification number \(VIN\) in the upper left corner in the Professional Technician System \(PTS\). If diagnostics lead to the in\-vehicle temperature and humidity sensor as the causal part, a new lower level part is available. It is not necessary to replace the OHC assembly if only the sensor is suspect. Use part number L1MZ\-19F666\-A to resolve the concern.
- [22G07 S1](/bulletins/10252404.md), 2024-04-02, Service bulletin: EQUIPMENT. Some 2020\-2024 Explorer/Aviator vehicles may exhibit a lack of audio and/or a water leak in the rear liftgate area and/or water in the spare tire area. The customer may indicate that this concern is more noticeable after a car wash or rainfall. To correct the condition, follow the Service Procedure to identify the leak path.

This may be more noticeable on AM radio stations. This may be caused by an electromagnetic interference concern
- [SSM 52269](/bulletins/10250526.md), 2024-02-23, Service bulletin: STRUCTURE:BODY:HATCHBACK/LIFTGATE; EQUIPMENT. 2022\-2024 Explorer/Aviator vehicles built on or after 28\-May\-2022, 2022\-2024 Expedition/Navigator vehicles built on or after 08\-Jun\-2022, 2022\-2024 Escape vehicles built on or after 01\-Jun\-2022 and 2022 Corsair vehicles built on or after 01\-Jun\-2022 are no longer equipped with a hands free liftgate system. This may be due to the belt integrated starter generator \(BISG\). To correct this condition, follow the Service Procedure to diagnose and repair this symptom.
- [SSM 51962](/bulletins/10244827.md), 2023-11-03, Service bulletin: SERVICE BRAKES; EQUIPMENT.
