# Service bulletin 9100017

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

Repair any issues found. Reconnect the plug and perform a push pull push to ensure the connector is fully installed. Then perform 3 keys cycles and listen to hear if the fuel pump is operational. If the fuel pump is heard that indicates that everything is operating correctly. If the pump is heard replacement is not necessary, any replacement will function in the same way.

- [9100532 REV1](/bulletins/11032857.md), 2026-05-20, Service bulletin: ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; STEERING. Before replacing the steering column control module \(SCCM\) due to wipers inop, wipers not turning off, wipers not returning to position, heated steering wheel not working and/or steering controls inop, Electronic Stability Control \(ESC\) light on, please follow these steps: 1.\- Review if there is any active DTC. Refer to service library procedure and follow diagnosis steps. 2.\- If failure still present, make sure all the switches', horn's, heated steering wheel, airbag's harness are properly connected and there is no corrosion or pinching, disconnect the switches \& reconnect them, and reverify the issue. 3.\- Verify if failure is still present, review if there is lack of communication between SCCM and BCM. For example, activate turn signals or wipers. 4.\- Read at the BCM diagnosis session if BCM is receiving information from SCCM. Through diagnosis review if activation from horn, wipers or turn signal is requested and are working. 5.\- Disconnect the SCCM fuse for around 30s,and repeat the previous steps to see if failure still present. 6.\- Do a hard reset to BCM and evaluate if any DTC is set. Retest if failure still present. Review the active DTCs. 7.\- Before replacing the SCCM disconnect it and reconnect it again. Note: Wipers position is not controlled by SCCM, verify motor wiper status if issue continues. If request from SCCM is sent to BCM, then verify if the communication to wipers is not working properly. If there are no DTC's active, physical defects, steering controls inop, wipers inop, heated steering wheel inop, then SCCM does not need to be replaced. Note: WL / WS SCCMs do not contain a Steering Angle Sensor \(SAS\) The Steering Angle is computed within the Electronic Power Steering \(EPS\) module. See Electronic Power Steering \(EPS\) module for diagnosis and repair procedures.
