# Service bulletin SSM 51286

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

- Type: Service bulletin
- NHTSA id: 10230783
- Published by NHTSA: 2023\-01\-31
- Manufacturer's number: SSM 51286
- Manufacturer's date: 2023\-01\-06

## NHTSA's summary

Some 2021\-2022 Bronco Sport vehicles built on or before 07\-Nov\-2022 may exhibit a squeak/rattle/creak noise from the roof opening panel when the glass is closed or in vent position while driving on uneven highways. This may be due to roof opening panel bolts not being properly secured. To correct this condition, confirm that the bolts on each side of the moon roof are properly tightened. If the bolts are not properly tightened, tighten the bolts. Refer to the Workshop Manual Section \(WSM\), Section 501\-17 Roof Opening Panel Glass \> Removal and Installation.
