Service bulletin NTB22-099A
A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

| NTB23-023B | 2025-02-25. Service bulletin. FLUID LEAK FROM THE FRONT DIFFERENTIAL CASE ACTUATOR MOTOR PLASTIC THREADS SERVICE INFORMATION Figure 1 Figure 2 If the front differential has a fluid leak coming from the actuator motor plastic threads (Figure 1): a. Place an alignment mark on the splined actuator body and the gear carrier (Figure 2). b. Remove the actuator and thoroughly clean the threads, making sure not to allow RTV to fall into the differential case. c. Once clean, apply Three Bond sealant to the threads, and then reinstall the actuator motor, making sure to line up the alignment marks. d. Check the front differential gear oil level and top to specification. o Refer to the ESM: TRANSMISSION & DRIVELINE > DRIVELINE > FRONT FINAL DRIVE: MA235/MA210 > PERIODIC MAINTENANCE > FRONT DIFFERENTIAL GEAR OIL DO NOT replace the front differential due to a fluid leak from the actuator motor plastic threads unless there has been consequential damage due to fluid loss (bearing failure or gear noise) to the front differential. |

| NTB24-007 | 2024-02-08. Service bulletin. DIAGNOSING REAR FINAL DRIVE ASSEMBLY LEAKS SERVICE INFORMATION If a Rear Final Drive Assembly (rear solid axle) is found to be leaking from one, or more, of the locations listed below, the source(s) of the leak should first be identified and, if possible repaired before the Rear Final Drive Assembly is considered for replacement. A Rear Final Drive Assembly should not be replaced unless bearing, gear, or other significant damage has occurred. Possible points of fluid leaks: • Front Oil Seal (Pinion Seal) • Axle Tube Seal • ABS Rear Wheel Sensor • Rear Axle Wheel Bearing Seal • Gear Carrier Cover Gasket • Drain Plug IMPORTANT: If a Rear Final Drive Assembly is found to have been replaced for a repairable leak and no internal damage is present, the claim will be charged back. Refer to pages 2-5 for additional information that illustrates and/or describes some, but not all, possible points where fluid leaks can occur, as well as helpful service HINTs. • This bulletin is only intended as a diagnostic reference and does not direct or imply repair. • Refer to the ESM for any applicable repair procedures, if needed. |
| NTB23-023 | 2023-04-10. Service bulletin. FLUID LEAK FROM THE FRONT DIFFERENTIAL CASE ACTUATOR MOTOR SERVICE INFORMATION If the front differential of an APPLIED VEHICLE has a fluid leak from the actuator motor body or threads (Figure 1), replace the actuator motor on the front differential case. DO NOT replace the front differential due to a fluid leak from the actuator motor unless there has been consequential damage due to fluid loss (bearing failure or gear noise) to the front differential. |

| NTB22-101 | 2022-12-06. Service bulletin. DRIVE SHAFT BOOT SERVICE INFORMATION SERVICE INFORMATION If a Drive Shaft (Axle Shaft) Boot on an APPLIED VEHICLE is found to be leaking grease, AND There is no abnormal noise or obvious CV Joint risk due to water intrusion and/or complete grease loss, check for REPAIR KIT-DUST BOOT (CV Joint Boot Kit) availability. • If there is a REPAIR KIT-DUST BOOT (CV Joint Boot Kit) available for the vehicle being repaired, do NOT replace the axle. Install a new boot kit following the procedure in the ESM. o Refer to the ESM: TRANSMISSION & DRIVELINE > FRONT AXLE > REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION > FRONT DRIVE SHAFT BOOT o If the complete axle (drive shaft) is replaced when only a new boot is required, the over-repair may be charged back to the dealer. • If there is NOT a REPAIR KIT-DUST BOOT (CV Joint Boot Kit) available for the vehicle being repaired, refer to the ESM for further diagnostic information. IMPORTANT: When servicing vehicles with staked axle nuts, refer to NTB21-013 to prevent Drive Shaft thread damage. |
| NTB22-099 | 2022-12-06. Service bulletin. VIBRATION DURING LIGHT OR MODERATE THROTTLE INPUT IF YOU CONFIRM A vibration during light or moderate throttle input between 20 – 40 mph, OR RPM flare / slip feeling / vibration during or immediately after a 2 – 3 upshift or 3 – 4 upshift with light or moderate throttle input. ACTION Replace the Torque Converter. |
| NTB22-087 | 2022-10-07. Service bulletin. NOISE AND/OR VIBRATION FROM FRONT OR REAR PROPELLER SHAFT SERVICE INFORMATION If you confirm abnormal noise and/or vibration is coming from the front or rear propeller shaft of an APPLIED VEHICLE, inspect the propeller shaft journals (U-Joints) for binding and/or abnormal noise before replacing the propeller shaft. If binding and/or abnormal noise is confirmed from the propeller shaft U-Joints, replace the propeller shaft U-Joints. Refer to the ESM for the propeller shaft U-Joint replacement procedure. NOTE: Replacement of the propeller shaft due to noise and/or vibration caused by the propeller shaft U-Joints may result in warranty charge back. |
