Flash: 2.4L Powertrain Diagnostic and System Improvements This bulletin involves reprogramming the Powertrain Control Module \(PCM\) with the latest available software. A small number of customers may experience a Malfunction Indicator Lamp \(MIL\) illumination. Upon further investigation the technician may find the following Diagnostic Trouble Codes \(DTCs\) set in the PCM memory: · \*\*P1185 \- General Pressure Sensor Correlation.\*\* · P0335 \- Crankshaft Position Sensor Circuit. · P050D \- Cold Start Rough Idle. · P0456 \- Evap System Small Leak. · P0133 \- O2 Sensor 1/1 Slow Response \(additional enhancements\). · P2610 \- PCM Internal Engine Off Timer Performance. · P1607 \- PCM Internal Shutdown Timer Rationality. \*\*In addition to the above DTCs, this software release also includes these enhancements/corrections: · A ?Clunk feeling" when depressing the gas pedal after a coasting maneuver when Decel Fuel Shut Off \(DFSO\) is enabled and is exiting during pedal tip\-in.\*\* · False reading that the engine is overheating based on the engine oil temp gauge read out. · Improved ambient temperature sensor diagnostics during sunload. · Disable misfire monitor when P0335 \(Crankshaft Position Sensor Circuit\) is present. · Engine oil temperature gauge level recalibration to avoid the misperception of an engine overheating condition.
