Service bulletin 511582

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

NHTSA's summary

Per FCA recall 22V759: FCA US has decided that certain vehicles fail to conform to Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) No. 106 - Brake hoses. Constriction requirement states, "Except for that part of an end fitting which does not contain hose, every inside diameter of any section of a hydraulic brake hose assembly shall be not less than 64 percent of the nominal inside diameter of the brake hose." Brake hoses that have an out of specification orifice diameter have an inside diameter that is less than the 64 percent requirement.
