Flash: Body Control Module (BCM) Updates This bulletin involves reprogramming the Body Control Module (BCM) with the latest available software. Customer may describe various LIN related functions (steering wheel, center stack, terrain or 4WD) switches and/or certain interior lamps not working. Upon further inspection the technician may also observe the followingDTCs may have set without a MIL: U1223-00 - Lost Communication with Wireless Charging Pad Module. U121E-00 - Lost Communication With Steering Wheel Cruise Control Switch. U1207-00 - Lost Communication With Terrain Switch Bank Module. U1191-00 - Lost Communication with Switch Bank Module 2. U1153-00 - Lost Communication With Windshield Wiper Smart Module. U114F-00 - Lost Communication with LIN Overhead Console. U114D-87 - Lost Communication with Hands Free Liftgate Module-Missing Message. U113B-00 - Lost Communication With Switch Bank Module. U112D-00 - Lost Communication With EVIC Steering Wheel Switches. Fuel Level % would increase when parked on a slope. Fuel gauge remains at full for 107 km (67 miles) vs. 73 km (45 miles). After fueling up with 68 liters (18.1 gallons) of fuel, the fuel gauge only will read around 1/4 tank and the low fuel lamp is still illuminated. After 10 minutes of driving, the gauge only read around 3/4 tank and the fuel lamp is still on. Refuel button is pressed for a short duration of 500ms or less at

The customer may experience one or more of the following: Fuel Level and Range (distance to empty) (DTE) will both increase after sleep cycle. Fuel Level % would increase when parked on a slope. Fuel gauge remains at full for 107 km (67 miles) vs. 73 km (45 miles). After fueling up with 68 liters (18.1 gallons) of fuel, the fuel gauge only will read around 1/4 tank and the low fuel lamp is still illuminated. After 10 minutes of driving, the gauge only read around 3/4 tank and the fuel lamp is still on. Refuel button is pressed for a short duration of 500ms or less at key off, then the fuel door is not opened. When the phone is charging on the Wireless Charging Pad Module (WCPM) and the fob is near, the customer opens then closes the liftgate, the IPC will pop up "key fob has left the vehicle" message. On vehicles equipped with Electronic Steering Lock (ESL), it requires 3 Start/Stop button presses to transition from key off to key run when the vehicle was in deep sleep. |

The customer may experience a Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) illumination. Upon further investigation the technician may find the following Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC). When the ambient air temperature sensor voltage goes to 0 volts (shorted to ground), the BCM sets a P0073 - Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit High for this condition. The BCM should display P0072 - Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low instead. The customer may also experience one or more of the following:Battery voltage in cold weather failing to initiate remote start due to voltage drop after ignition on3.0L Diesel (Sales Code EXF only). Remote start does not work first attempt, always works on the 2nd attempt issue3.0L Diesel (Sales Code EXF only). |
